Behind the scenes
Here are some photos of the At Fest crew on location at the Philadelphia Folk Festival, and of the private screenings in Philadelphia and New York.
Nine months of planning happened before At Fest principal photography. During those nine months, the producer and director, James Wallace, plotted out storylines, coordinated with bands, and shot some pre-festival interviews with his wife and executive producer Jen.
After LOTS of walking, recording and filming, the team went through three years of video editing, color correction, sound design, logo design, fundraising, PR, conferences, and more.
The producers thank everyone in the credits of the movie, but big shout outs to all the performers in At Fest (HogMaw, Philadelphia Jug Band, Hoots & Hellmouth, David Wax Museum, Paul Thiessen, Emily Drinker, US Rails, Brad Hinton Band, The Give and Take Jugglers); all the PledgeMusic and Indiegogo supporters; assistant director Tom Salerno; Peter Dressel, Howard Pitkow & Fred Scott (still photography); Alex Block; Maggie, Iris, Harold, Marios, Mira, and Amanda; everyone who appears in the film; the staff, volunteers and campers of Fest; and the Philadelphia Folksong Society.
